What’s next for Daniil?
Many fans pointed out the fact that this was the end of the domination of the Big Four. It will be interesting to see whether Daniil can hold this position for a long time. Previously, he expressed his love for Novak and they were good friends off the court. So, grabbing the no.1 spot from Novak will definitely make him happy.
Meanwhile, Daniil’s focus will be on the Mexican Open at Acapulco, where he will play his quarter-final match against Yoshihito Nishioka. Also, there’s a potential semi-final match-up against Rafael Nadal. Surely, he would like to take his revenge on the Spaniard.
