Rafael Nadal fans are awaiting a grand comeback from the Spaniard following his recent injury scares. Rafa has by far not been able to compete in the majority of the season’s tournaments which has caused a sharp dip in his rankings. However, true to their loyalty to the legend, Rafa fans are of the belief that once he decides to make a comeback, he will regain his usual top 10 spot. However, the chances of his immediate comeback seem bleaker every day, and with what seems like a penultimate nail in the coffin, Jose Moron, the director of Punto De Break has made a concerning speculation.

With the clay season already here, Roland Garros is right around the corner. It is natural for the fans of the King of Clay to expect his presence on the court, stepping up with powerful groundstrokes that awe any and every opponent. However, when Rafa’s injuries are making it difficult to put a finger on his comeback plans, Jose Moron has further made the possibility of his clay return seem far-fetched and unrealistic.

According to Jose Moron, Nadal will, in all probability, have to forgo the Barcelona dream for next week. Needless to say, the news went out on Twitter immediately and fans have reacted to it in disbelief. Nobody really imagined that the injury was so grave as to put out the legend for more than three months, but now the situation looks graver than ever.

He suffered a hip flexor injury and a grade 2 lesion in the Iliacus Psoas of his left leg which normally should take 6-8 weeks to recover. However, it is taking Nadal much longer to get back and this is further causing his fans to worry. However, going by a sense of priority, it might be a well-thought-out decision by Rafa and his team to focus on rest at the moment and gear up for the big days at Roland Garros. To add to that, Nadal might also be taking his time off to spend more time with baby Rafa who is now 7 months old.
