Recently this Australian tennis star dropped a great compliment for Ben Shelton. Tweeting on his official X (formerly Twitter), Kyrgios wrote- “I had a dream last night that Shelton won a slam…. Is 2024 the year? Come to think of it, game is huge, serve is a rocket…. Reminds me of….” Now given that the Australian Open 2024 is almost knocking at the door, fans connected Kyrgios’s comment to Ben Shleton’s possibility of winning the tournament. While they didn’t comment much on Shelton’s performance, they seemed surprised seeing Kyrgios’s confidence.

While Nick didn’t exactly seem to take his name with Shelton’s compliment, given his previous record, fans thought he referred to himself. Now that he is not even able to attend Wimbledon because of his prolonged injury, his comment seemed nothing less than comical to the audience.
