It is not every day that we get to see a tennis star’s personal life play out on live TV. But when it happens, it’s pure magic! Cameron Norrie’s intimate moment with his girlfriend Louise Jacobi in the stands had us all swooning over the adorable couple. However, what made it even more special was Norrie’s priceless reaction after getting caught off-guard!

Following a disappointing third-round exit from Wimbledon, Norrie has taken an oath to put all his focus on the Swedish Open. Stepping up his game with new vigor, he has already made his place in the second round. But he is not only playing tennis in Sweden but also enjoying some quality time with his girlfriend, Jacobi. Luckily, the Tennis Channel caught sight of that, which has now got everyone talking more about their blossoming romance.

A social media post has surfaced showing the 28-year-old player in close conversation with Jacobi, who is leaning her shoulder towards Cameron. Pretty romantic, right? Well, the cameraman thought so too, and kept the focus on the couple. However, as Jacobi discovered that the spotlight was on them, she insisted that Norrie watch out too! Flustered at this, Norrie, who was planting a peck on the U.S.-based entrepreneur, Jacobi, laughed it off, keeping his arms around.

Even though the couple likes to keep their romantic life private, a few glimpses do not harm now and then, do they? Jacobi has been providing them since they began dating after the U.S. Open of 2019. While they met through a mutual friend, the couple had an instant connection when they chatted in a bar in New York City. After that, Norrie invited her to her upcoming tournament in Vienna. The co-founder of Studio Virgo (fashion brand) obliged but had few doubts about the player at first.

“When he asked me, I thought, ‘I guess this guy doesn’t live a normal life, and it’s not like I can meet (him) down the street and go to dinner together. So I went on this trip and was only supposed to be in Vienna for five days, and things just went really well…” she said. Thus began their love story.

Her attendance at several matches of Norrie became a regular thing. From Norrie’s Australian Open run to Wimbledon and now at the Swedish Open, Jacobi has been a constant audience member! But her role expands beyond just watching her boyfriend play. Sometimes it involves some tears and moments of immense pride for Norrie, too.

Jacobi’s “surreal” experience watching Norrie play tennis

Jacobi, who once said she wasn’t initially “really interested,” in Norrie, is now not only enjoying spending time with him away from tennis, but also during his matches. She credits Norrie’s “persistence” with his “amazing job at keeping in touch,” which eventually brought them closer. And when Norrie won one of his career’s greatest matches against David Goffin in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in 2022, she could hardly hold back her tears.

Watching Norrie’s dream of playing tennis turn into reality with sheer hard work made her emotional. “It was surreal. When your significant other is crying in front of you, like choking up, how could I keep a dry eye?” she said after the match. Apart from tennis, the duo often shares their adventures and trips on social media too.
