At the French Open 2020, he decided to pair up with Canadian star Vasek Pospisil. However, the pair lost to Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the second round only. Mahut and Herbert went on to win the French Open 2020 doubles title. In singles too, Sock lost to US Open 2020 winner Dominic Thiem in the second round.
