Fans have now started to lash out at the hype created around Alcaraz over the last few years. The other criticized Nike and said how Nike desperately wanted to sign a deal with Djokovic. He even went on to praise the performance of the 36-year-old world number one.

Others expressed their unhappiness over the hype created around Carlos Alcaraz.

Furthermore, one even advised checking on people who had said that the 20-year-old Spaniard will win 30 Grand Slam titles in the future.

Can Carlos Alcaraz prove them wrong? Only time will tell. But defeat at Paris has pushed him farther from his aim to finish the year at number one for two consecutive years. He looked far from his sharpness on the court. He had announced he would feature at the tournament only last Wednesday. This might be a reason for his lack of match fitness.
