Spanish tennis prodigy Carlos Alcaraz was spotted having a serious conversation with his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero after the first serve in their match. Alcaraz was facing off the Bulgarian ATP Pro, Grigor Dimitrov. However, this Spanish ATP star suffered a massive setback at the Miami Open‘s Hard Rock Stadium. Despite trying all his means to see the end of the tournament, Grigor Dimitrov crushed Alcaraz’s dreams by presenting an extraordinary and dominant performance.
The official X (formerly Twitter) platform of Tennis Channel recently shared a clip, where fans spotted Carlos Alcaraz having a conversation with his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero. Alcaraz asked his coach about his standing position while returning the first serve. He was asking Ferrero whether he should stand up or back at the match against Dimitrov.
While Alcaraz used hand gestures to send his messages to Fererro, the latter asked Alcaraz to stand in the back. From the Spanish tennis prodigy’s expression, the fraternity felt that he was dedicated to making it to the last of the tournament. Despite so much effort, Alcaraz couldn’t stand strong in front of Dimitrov’s total aggression and finally lost the match to the Bulgarian tennis star. Sharing this clip, the Tennis Channel wrote- “Alcaraz communicating with coach Ferrero on the changeover #MiamiOpen.”

Despite defeating Alcaraz, Dimitrov spoke highly of the Spanish tennis star. He said- “In order to beat Carlos you have to play at your best. That’s just how it is,” Following Dimitrov’s statement, the fraternity felt more intrigued to know how he defeated the former Grand Slam winner so well.

Despite Alcaraz’s brilliance, Dimitrov pulled off an aggressive and steady match against the Spaniard to defeat him. Dimitrov scored 6-2 and 4-1 to take away Alcaraz’s chances to play at the tournament’s finals. Post victory, Dimitrov delighted his fans’ hearts by commenting on his efforts. He said– “I came into the match very focused and extremely clear on what I had to do. Sometimes, simplicity is genius. “It’s very hard to do it, especially against an opponent like that. But I was able to really dictate and read the game better than I did last time. I was just using every opportunity I had. I think every second serve I had, I was attacking it. I was making sure I was putting him in a very difficult position,”

Carlos Alcaraz’s conversation with his coach expressed that this Spanish tennis prodigy was dedicated to winning this match and entering the finals of the Miami Open tournament. Despite so much effort, Dimitrov finally outperformed Alcaraz to secure his chances of the Miami Open title.
