It was the 2023 US Open. The defending champion of the tournament, Carlos Alcaraz sailed through to the third round without breaking any sweat. In the round-of-32 clash, he was up against Great Britain’s Daniel Evans. Despite being the firm favorite, Alcaraz didn’t have the easiest of outings as he dropped a set before winning the match in four sets. A month later, the two went up against each other once again, this time at the Shanghai Masters. Following their match, the Spaniard made a huge revelation about his rivalry against Evans.

The match was a lot closer despite the scoreline suggesting otherwise as the former World Number 1 won in straight sets 7-6 (1), 6-4. Let’s find out what Alcaraz said to which even American star, Christopher Eubanks commented.
