After bagging a marvelous victory against Shang Jucheng in the Australian Open’s third round, Alcaraz said in a press conference- “The records I really want to beat are Djokovic’s. The ones I propose for my career. Taking records away from legends like Borg is great, but if you give it too much importance, it can work against you. Everyone has to look out for themselves.”

Not just that but Alcaraz further mentioned how he is not afraid to speak about his dreams. He also added- “I am not afraid to openly say what my dreams, my objectives are. Whatever you do, whatever you say, there will be people who like it more and people who like it less. Another thing I have learned is that you can’t please everyone.”

How did Carlos Alacaraz break Bjorn Borg’s record in tennis?

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Sheng Jucheng to directly enter in Australian Open 2024’s fourth round. With this amazing victory, Alcaraz becomes the youngest tennis star at the age of twenty to crack entry to this tournament’s round of sixteen. It was the eleven-time Grand Slam winner, Bjorn Borg who did it in the 1970s.

Carlos Alcaraz said, “I’m feeling better every match, I put myself at 7-8, Physically I’m feeling pretty good and I also give myself that grade in this aspect. I’m playing the ball well, that’s why I preferred to do some physical training at the end of the match and not go to practice. In the Grand Slams it is always good to be on the court the less time the better to recover and for the following matches.”
