While there are no clear details available regarding Saudi Arabia’s tax system for non-resident athletes, some reports suggest that an income tax of 20 percent needs to be paid to the government. Which means if he wins, Jannik Sinner may not be able to send the entire $6 million into his bank account. Due to the 20 percent tax rate in Saudi Arabia, the final amount he may get to keep could be $4.8 million after giving away $1.2 million in taxes. Now the good thing is that Sinner won’t have to additional taxes at home. While he is Italian, his permanent residence is in Monaco which is officially a tax haven for athletes.

How much will Carlos Alcaraz earn after taxes from the Six Kings Slam?
Jannik Sinner beat Carlos Alcaraz last year to emerge victorious in the maiden Six Kings Slam. This time, the Spaniard will have the chance to exact his revenge on him. In case the World No.1 wins, he will receive $6 million in prize money. Similar to Sinner, the amount will include Alcaraz’s participation fee of $1.5 million and the winning amount of $4.5 million for clinching the trophy.
As is the case for Sinner, Alcaraz may have to pay 20 percent of his prize money in taxes as well. If that happens, he will get to keep only $4.8 million instead of $6 million. In short, the six-time slam champion will have to sacrifice $1.2 million from his prize money figure.
Now, when it comes to paying taxes at home, Alcaraz may have to give away even more money. In Spain, an estimated 46 percent of tax rate is applied. Which means an additional $2,208,000 will vanish from Alcaraz’s remaining prize money. Ultimately, he may only get to keep a figure of $2,592,000 instead of $4.8 million.
