Juan Carlos Ferrero, Carlos Alcaraz’s super coach must be riding a high after the Spaniard’s recent success at the Indian Wells. Ferrero is a former world no. 1 who was nicknamed “the mosquito” for his speed and slender build when he competed on the pro circuit from 1998 to 2012. Constantly admired by fans for his good looks, Ferrero recently turned up the heat in a magazine shoot.

Featuring in the Spanish magazine Pedro del Hierro, an affordable luxury brand that boasts many celebrities and athletes on its cover rosters, Ferrero recently raised his style quotient. Now pictures from this photoshoot have sent fans clacking away on their keyboards. The tennis world that was already gushing over the Spaniard’s stunning looks went into a frenzy with hilarious comments admiring the coach pouring in from the fans.

Almost like a fine wine, one fan asked the reason for the Spaniard’s good looks increasing with age. “God, you’re too hot JCF. It’s almost criminal. 🔥🔥🔥 Htf does he get hotter the older he gets?!” The fan says it is criminal to look this good and proceed to ask the coach how his looks are getting better with age.

Another user seems to be taking a low-key jibe at Alcaraz’s inefficiency as a model. “He saw Carlos looking awkward as hell in all his modeling shoots and said ugh fine let me show you how it’s done..” The fan indicates that Alcaraz seems awkward in most of his shoots for clothing brands owing to which Ferrero decided to lead by example.

Another fan gives Ferrero the premier spot on his list of good-looking coaches. “Easily the hottest coach on either tour” Labelling Ferrero “the hottest coach,” the comment separates the Spaniard at the top from his competitors.

One fan substantiates the Spaniard’s good looks by indicating Maria Sharapova’s fondness for him. “And that s why Sharapova had a huge crush on him.” The fan says that the Coach’s good looks were the main reason for Maria Sharapova’s crush on him back in the day. The fans are now realizing why.

Another fan hilariously points out one of the poses deployed in the shoot. “Why have I never thought to use the clay court as a bed and the net as a pillow?” The fan is trying to make fun of the idiosyncratic poses used in modeling and specifically this shoot, all the while appreciating Ferrero.

Following Alcaraz’s Indian Wells triumph the Spanish coach gave his protégé a reason to smile.

Carlos Alcaraz’s ‘Special’ tribute to Juan Carlos Ferrero

Ferrero underwent a knee surgery just before the Australian Open earlier this year and was absent for the tournament which saw Alcaraz bowing out in the semis. Following his final win at the Indan Wells Alcaraz paid tribute to his coach in the post-match presser saying, “It depends on how he’s watching me. If I’m struggling a lot, if I’m in problems or not, he tells me depending on the moments.”

He adds, “But one of the things he tells me most is to smile.” Calling the support from Ferrero special he underlines his importance, “He means a lot to me. It’s a great support when I have him in the box. His support is special to me. It’s been a long path together, six years now.”

The two have had a great relationship. Ferrero started coaching him when he was a junior and went through many Grade 4 tournaments with him. They have been together for almost 6 years now. Alcaraz says that they have had a good relationship and that he has learned a lot from him.
