Coach Patrick Mouratoglou Names Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, and Alexander Zverev as the Next Big 3 of Tennis

World No.2 Daniil Medvedev won his first Grand Slam at the US Open 2021. It marks the first time when someone from the next-gen players defeated a member of the ‘Big Three’ in a Grand Slam final. In light of that, fans believe that the likes of Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev can soon start to dominate the sport.
In a recent video, Serena Williams’ coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, expressed his opinions on the future of tennis. He pinpointed that Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, and Daniil Medvedev can earn a huge name in the sport and could potentially become the next ‘Big Three’.

“Stefanos is one of the guys who can do it, win Grand Slams in the future and become world number one. But there are other guys who can too, Medvedev, Zverev. I think those three are the three that are the closest,” said Mouratoglou.
Mouratoglou has been coaching Tsitsipas for more than four years now. Thus, he sees a lot of potential in him and believes that he can win many Grand Slam titles. However, he also feels that Zverev and Medvedev will be his real competitors in the future and can become great players as well.

Even though Mouratoglou believes that there will be a really intense battle between Tsitsipas, Medvedev, and Zverev, he also mentioned that there are other stars who can impress the fans in the future.
“But there are also other guys that we don’t name maybe Felix Auger-Aliassime, Shapovalov, Berrettini. So, it’s gonna be very interesting what’s gonna happen in a few months and next two-three years because we’ll see which one is really gonna make it happen,” added the French coach.
