“Complete Player”: Rafael Nadal Lauds His Fanboy Sebastian Korda Ahead of Citi Open 2021

Fans are quite exhilarated to see World No. 3 Rafael Nadal at the Citi Open 2021. The Spaniard is returning to the court after almost two months and thus, the excitement in fans seems pretty high.
In a recent interview, Rafael Nadal spoke extensively about American rising star, Sebastian Korda. He mentioned that Korda has got a really good and high serve and plays some brilliant shots from the baseline.
“[His game has a] good physical look, good serve, good shots from the baseline. I think he’s a great guy, [a] complete player. He has a lot of things to do in the next years in our sport,” said Nadal in the interview.

Rafa seemed pretty impressed with Korda’s technique and gameplay. He highlighted that the American is a complete player and can achieve many big titles in the future.
Interestingly, Korda is a big fan of Rafa and has even named his cat after the 20-time Grand Slam champion. Thus, he will be quite pleased to hear such words from his idol.

In the same interview, Rafa further added that if Korda plays the way he is playing, he can be one of the best players in the future. He believes that the American has the potential of becoming a top player and if he keeps improving, he is going to earn a big name in the sport one day.
“I think I always believed since I saw him play that he is going to have the chance to be one of the best players of the world. Let’s see. It’s always the same. I think he has all the things that he needs to definitely be a top guy. Of course, things are not easy and you need to keep improving. But I definitely believe, if you ask me, [that[ he [is] going to be a great one,” concluded the World No. 3 player.
