The year hasn’t been going Nick Kyrgios’ way. After having one of the best seasons of his tennis career, the Australian star was expected to take his game a notch higher. In what was a memorable 2022 season, Kyrgios made it to the final of the Wimbledon Championships. However, he couldn’t get past Novak Djokovic in the summit clash. Further, the 28-year-old even made it to the quarterfinals of the US Open.
Contrastingly, the World Number 35 has had a quiet 2023 season. He has played just one tournament this year, ATP 250 in Stuttgart, Germany. Injuries have played their part in Kyrgios’ torrid season. Recently, the Australian star expressed displeasure at Tom Holland’s advice.

And if you don’t have my number, you don’t know me well enough to have a problem with me.”

Meanwhile, Kyrgios backed World Number 1, Iga Swiatek, who recently got criticized by commentator Jimmy Arias. The latter said, “I don’t think she’s been great for women’s tennis bc she wears her hat so low that you can’t even see her face or eyes during the match, so you don’t get a connection as much as you could… I want to see her personality.” Supporting fellow tennis player against Arias, Kyrgios hit back at him by saying, “Another horrible take.”
