Carlos Alcaraz Garfia rose like a dream in the realm of tennis and his performance is something that we all look forward to. The player is now gearing up for the grass court major at Wimbledon.

Last year, the Spanish player had to bid farewell to the sport only after the second round. However, this year Alcaraz has stepped up his game by looking at the playing style of top-tier players who have done well in the grass-court major.

What has Carlos Alcaraz learned from the ‘Big Three’?

Carlos Alcaraz Garfia revealed that he is learning from his childhood idol Rafael Nadal and the likes of Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray. He said“I’m trying to see the trainings of the best players.” He watches their videos and tries to pick up from them.

World no. 7 said, ” (Dan) Evans, I think he plays very well on grass. I’m trying to copy some things from the best ones. I always watch videos of Federer, Djokovic, Rafa, Andy (Murray) as well, trying to copy the moves and stuff from them.”

How can Alcaraz improve?

Alcaraz further talked about his weak points on the grass court. He said, “The hardest thing I would say is to move. For me to move well on grass is the hardest thing.”

He also paved a way for how he can improve his game. World no. 7 said, “Well, I would say to play aggressive, trying to go to the net. This is the best part to translate into my game from other surface to this one.”

The status of the teenage sensation

The Spanish teenage sensation has performed well in 2022 and has already reached the top 10 ranking of ATP. Moreover, he has also won five career titles, including two ATP masters tournaments. The player is now trying to do well at SW19.

The incumbent world no.1, Daniil Medvedev defeated the Spanish player in the second round of Wimbledon 2021. However, a lot of top-tier players cannot play at the Wimbledon. Wimbledon has banned the Russian and Belarusian players from playing this year.
