And, following his spectacular triumph run at the 2023 Madrid Open, the world number two tennis player posted a heartfelt note for her mother, honoring his success to his mother, Virginia Garfia, on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

In Spain, Mother’s Day was observed on this Sunday. The 20-year-old tennis player was away from his parents on that special day, but he still made sure to give her mother the nicest birthday present imaginable. The same day, Alcaraz overcame Jan-Lennard Struff to win the second tournament in a row after falling to Jannik Sinner in the Miami Open final.

Carlos Alcaraz’s sweet note for his mother 

The world number two tennis player gave a heartfelt message for his mother in an on-court interview with Prakash Amritraj after winning the competition and following all the formal celebrations. Alcaraz’s parents have been his biggest supporters throughout his life. Additionally, the tennis star has always expressed gratitude to his parents for supporting him as a tennis player whenever he had the chance to do so.

He shared a very sweet message for his mother on the occasion of Mother’s Day. He said, “I couldn’t buy a gift for her, so I hope she enjoyed the words. I’m gonna give her a really big hug after… She’s always supporting me at home. For me it’s really nice to see her here & enjoying her support” 

Not only that, but he also expressed his regret about not being able to buy her a present this year. The mother of the second-ranked tennis player in the world was there to support their son as he claimed the victory, making it an even more memorable triumph. Along with that, like always, he talked about his parents being his biggest support.
