Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev has been one of the most impressive youngsters on the Tour. He has been making steady progress in the Men’s game. One of his greatest strengths is the manner in which he executes an offensive approach.

He overheard fellow colleague Medvedev reflect on the winner of the Ballon d’Or. After hearing out the World No. 2 player, Rublev felt it was Robert Lewandowski who deserved to win but instead it was the Argentine legend Lionel Messi who won the award.

Andrey Rublev doesn’t follow football

Speaking on this topic, Rublev stated, “I honestly don’t understand football. But this was the only time I watched the Ballon d’Or ceremony because Daniil Medvedev follows football very much. He just understands football. I asked him everything. I didn’t even know who was nominated. He said that Lewandowski deserved the most this time. And then there was a lot of discussion on the Internet that Robert should have taken the award.”
