This certainly cracked up his Twitter following as Medvedev has never won a main-draw match at Roland Garros. He’s been knocked out of the first round in the last four years, with the most recent loss coming against Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics.
Roland Garros has not been the kindest tournament to Daniil Medvedev, but he looks to improve his clay-court game before the 2021 edition.
The Russian did not enjoy phenomenal success in 2020, but he clinched two titles to his name. Medvedev won the ATP Finals title in London, and he became the first player to defeat the Top 3 players in the World at the season finale.
The secret behind Medvedev’s incredible success
Daniil Medvedev has evolved to become a fan favorite at the ATP tour. The Russian undeniably has a strong and technical skillset, and a lot of it was honed by his coach Gilles Cervara.
