Medvedev is known for his aggressive baseline play, his unpredictable shot selection, and his ability to switch from defense to offense with remarkable speed. His style is not the result of meticulous planning or rigid strategies. He appears to be driven by an instinctive understanding of the game that even Medvedev himself cannot fully explain.

His coach explained it by saying, “He is number 3 in the world but sometimes I have the impression of talking to a teenager. When we ask Daniil (Medvedev) about certain things in his game, he has no answer because he himself does not know how he does them.

Medvedev’s coach shares he has a solution to win against Jannik Sinner

In one of his interviews, Cervara shared that even though Sinner plays incredible tennis, he still feels that they can succeed against him. He also added that he has a little idea that would work. Further, he also shared that it is not like Medvedev has to compete against Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic, it is just Sinner so he thinks they can take him.

On the other hand, Medvedev was all praises for his finals’ opponent. He added, “I generally believe if he plays like this, like he played the last weeks, all the time, he’s going to have Slams & be the world #1”.

Knowing that he has to compete against him and still being appreciative of him shows the big heart Medvedev has.
