Having made their way into the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup, team Serbia, and Novak Djokovic will be looking to do whatever it takes to make it through to the quarter-finals of the tournament. However, standing their way this time around will be a tough challenge for Serbia. They will be facing Great Britain in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

With a lucrative offer to secure a berth in the semis, Novak Djokovic and co. would be looking to give everything it takes. However, Cameron Norrie led Britain is not unknown to success at Davis Cup and knows how to handle pressure at a grand stage. So, who among the two will make it through?

Having made their way into the tournament’s finals, team Serbia was placed in a group that featured the likes of the Czech Republic, Spain, and South Korea. They began the finals campaign by defeating South Korea 3-0. Later, Serbia was strengthened by the arrival of Novak Djokovic to their team. He played in their encounter against Spain.

After Laslo Djere defeated Albert Ramos-Vinolas, the 36-year-old went ahead and defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina to guarantee his nation a position in the knockout round. The Serbs won the doubles match and secured the tie 3-0.

However, in their third and final match, things did not go as planned and they eventually lost against the Czech Republic with a scoreline of 3-0. On the other hand, their opponents, Great Britain had France, Australia, and Switzerland in their group.

In their first match against the Aussies, the British team defeated them 2-1 to open the championships. Before Evans and Skupski were defeated by Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell, Jack Draper, and Dan Evans achieved victories to seal the tie.

Then they faced Switzerland, and Andy Murray overcame Marc-Andrea Huesler to give them a 1-0 lead. However, it was Stan Wawrinka who leveled the tie after he defeated Cameron Norrie to square the match. It then all went down to the doubles match. It was won by Dan Evans and Neal Skupski, securing the championship for Great Britain.

It all came down to the doubles match in their last group match versus France as well. After Ugo Humbert defeated Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans defeated Arthur Fils. This brought the score to even. Following a setback, Evans and Skupski once again shone for Great Britain.

With a chance for both the teams on the line, only one among them will be able to make it through to the semis. While Novak Djokovic has often talked about his hunger for national team success, is his team really that strong on the papers to defeat the British? What are the major injury blows for the Brits? Prediction: Serbia would make their way into the semis of the Davis Cup

The addition of Novak Djokovic to the Serbian squad will give the team a major boost just before the start of their clash against the British. As it stands, team Serbia could be in a more favorable spot to land the victory home. With the Serbian legend quite possibly facing Cameron Norrie in his match, a victory for the Serb could be on the cards.

He would later go on and play the doubles match where he would team up with Kecmanovic and produce one of the finest matches for the Serbian team. Also, the absence of Dan Evans and Andy Murray from the British team due to an injury could be a huge blow for the Brits. However, it is only time that will tell who gaming the two makes it through.
