Stefanos Tsitsipas is one player who has improved quite a bit ever since he stepped on the court. The Greek player, with the help of his coach, Mark Philippoussis, and his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas. However, some complications arose, and Stefanos decided to split from Philippoussis. That was the situation for some time until it was suddenly revealed that the Australian coach would be joining the Greek player’s team once again.
Although the Australian coach is back with Tsitsipas, he is not in the clear completely. Philippoussis recently received a hefty fine from the authorities as he engaged in an activity which violated betting sponsorship rules.

Stefanos Tsitsipas welcomes back former coach
Prior to the French Open, Tsitsipas decided to scale down his team. Citing confusion over the lead guiding voice, the ATP number 5 split with Philippoussis leading up to the clay slam. However, his team will have a familiar face once again, according to a report by SDNA, as the former Australian player will join his coaching team once again.

Last time, they parted as having two lead coaches created confusion for Tsitsipas. But this time, Apostolos and Philippoussis will work together. While they will work as a team, they will alternate between tournaments where they are the lead voice.
Philippoussis will be the leading voice in the Canada Masters, Cincinnati Masters and the Los Cabos Open. The following US Open will see the lead role being taken up by Apostolos, with the Australian accompanying them for assistance. While he will be working to improve Tsitsipas’ game, he has another battle going on in his professional life.

Australian coach in hot water with the authorities
Mark Philippoussis is not in the good graces of the tennis gods at the moment. Although he was re-hired by the number 5 in a matter of months, he found himself on the bad side of the tennis authorities. He provided voiceover for promotional content for a gaming operator, which breached betting sponsorship rules.

Now, he finds himself with a fine of $10,000 and a suspension of four months from the sport. As per some reports, he had agreed with the violations and plans to carry out his punishment. It remains to be seen how his ban will affect his coaching duties with Stephanos Tsitsipas.
