From being an unknown teen tennis prodigy to becoming a global superstar, Jannik Sinner has come a long way in the last 1-2 years. Last year in June, while meeting with the local kids at a facility in his hometown, Sinner said, “I was always looking forward to giving something back to the people who helped me and share success with them. And now I can share this World No. 1, which is the ultimate goal for every player, with the whole country.” He called it one of the “best feelings“. Fast forward ten months, Sinner has now added a new feather to his cap. What’s it, though?

Just days before the start of the Italian Open, he has now launched the Jannik Sinner Foundation. This foundation has an aim that is deeply personal for the 23-year-old tennis star. In a video clip uploaded on his IG on April 28, he highlighted his deep desire to give back to the community that has supported him over the years. Sinner said, “With this foundation, we would like to give younger kids some great chance to achieve their dreams.

The Foundation will ensure, through various school programs, projects, and community initiatives, that both sports and education are more accessible to younger kids. In a press release, Jannik Sinner further elaborated, saying, “For me, it’s an honor to support children and young athletes. Sports have taught me invaluable lessons: discipline, resilience, and the courage to stay true to myself—lessons that I believe are worth sharing. Through our work, we want to show kids what’s possible, not just in sports but in life.”

Jannik Sinner Foundation board will include Alex Vittur (CEO of Avima and Sinner’s manager), Luca Maestri (the former CFO of Apple), and the president and CEO of Formula 1- Stefano Domenicali. Speaking about the main aim of this foundation, Vittur said,Every child deserves equal opportunities, no matter their background. We aim to break down social barriers and create spaces where sports and education become powerful tools for growth, inclusion, and hope.

Now, since he has already started to make an impact off the court, can Sinner yet again establish himself as a lethal force on the men’s tour? Well, the Italian has played 7 matches this season and has won all of them. But despite having this 100% win record, a few days ago, Sinner was heard admitting that the comebackwon’t be easy“.

Interesting Fact: Sinner’s suspension started on February 9, and will end on May 4.

Speaking more about his return, he added,The first games will be really difficult. But hopefully, I’ll be able to get back into the rhythm and then we’ll see how it goes. What does the tennis world have to say about his comeback journey, though?

Former world number one shared his thoughts on Jannik Sinner’s comeback journey

With time, Jannik Sinner has now become a popular figure in the tennis world, and his close friend, Jack Draper, recently stated that he is looking forward to having him back on the Tour because he thinks his absence was heavily felt in the tennis world. During his absence from the Tour, both Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev failed to reduce the gap, allowing the Italian to extend his reign despite missing out on four Masters 1000 events. Does Sinner have a chance to get back on his winning track when he makes his return in Rome?

According to Andy Roddick,I worry about him zero over the long term, but if it’s just the small sample size of Rome… a small sample size can tell many stories. I’m not worried with how he hits the ball. I’m not worried about his movement. I thought he actually looked great on the clay last year. We kind of forget he was a set away from beating Carlos Alcaraz in the semis of Roland Garros last year. So, I think he’ll be fine long term. Will he have jitters in Rome in front of the home crowd? Remember, he didn’t get to play in Rome last year either.

Roddick highlighted Sinner hasn’t played in Rome since becoming theGrand Slam-winning no 1“, so he’s expecting somejitterson his return. He also spoke about why clay courts are more challenging for Sinner than hard courts.I don’t think it’s (clay) going to be his best surface. When he has two feet firmly planted on the cement, that’s where he’s going to be dominant.” Jannik Sinner was defeated by Carlos Alcaraz in the SF of last year’s French Open in a five-set thriller. Roddick feels Sinner could have won that title last year.

Nevertheless, Sinner is currently enjoying his 47th week at No. 1. With this, he has already overtaken Rafael Nadal’s record of 46. Now, can he move closer to his next target, Novak Djokovic (53), with some impressive performance in the next few months?
