

Nick Kyrgios faced the 21 times Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic, in his first ever Grand Slam finals on Sunday. They locked horns in the Centre Court of London for the majors title of the fastest surface. Even though the Aussie was riding high on form, he could not get the better of Djokovic and settled for the runner-up position.

However, a bigger letdown was yet to come. Kyrgios, while traveling alongside his girlfriend after a hectic week, got stranded at the Toronto Pearson airport. And had to opt for a unique solution to wash off the fatigue from the tour.

While traveling to the Bahamas, Kyrgios and his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi found themselves caught in the mayhem, the Canadian airport has created over the months. As a result of their flight being delayed for hours, the couple decided to get some on the floor. And Hatzi shared a picture of it captioned, “The reality of delayed flights and lost luggage.”
Later, the agency Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) which operates the airport, addressed the matter. After months of massive lines and cancelled flights, they assured that the situation is “getting better.”

The Assie made his relationship public with Hatzi after the Christmas of 2021. Since then, the 21-year-old influencer has traveled several times alongside Kyrgios to cheer for him in tours. Further, apart from her social media presence, she is also famous for her interior decor business. Hatzi is the owner of Casa Amor Interiors which focus on minimalist home decors.

After having a semifinal run in the Germany-based Stuttgart Open and Halle Open. The 27-year-old jumped into the Grand Slam of grass. His first noteworthy win came against the Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas. He outclassed the World no.5 in a thrilling four set long match at the expense of first set.

Thereafter, the former World no.13 thrashed the Chilean No.1 and ATP Huston semifinalist Cristian Garín in straight sets at the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. Then he took a free pass to the finals following the withdrawal of the 22 times Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal. However, in the finals, the Serbian tennis legend defeated him to claim his fourth consecutive Wimbledon title.
