Kyrgios broke the news of his grandma’s passing a day after the birthday of his girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi. Although he was in mourning, Kyrgios still made sure to celebrate Hatzi’s birthday. He even shared a picture of her on his social media with a message to express his gratefulness for the time they spent together.

Kyrgios shares sad news with fans

On 17th May, the world number 26 was in mourning and shared a somber piece of news with his fans and followers. He announced the passing of his grandmother, who was the inspiration for his jokester persona. In the post, he called his grandmother, Yiayia, and wished that she would enjoy her time with his grandfather, who passed away last year. Kyrgios shared three pictures of his grandmother, one with him and his brother, and two solo pictures.
