But now the rising star is up against The Joker on his way to glory.

The Spanish player has always viewed the Swiss great as his tennis idol. But he also shares a fondness for the Serbian star standing tall on the tennis court. Regarding his admiration for the 36-year-old tennis great who is one of the “big three” along with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, he just made a significant revelation.

Carlos Alcaraz reveals his admiration for Novak Djokovic 

The 20-year-old tennis player is all set to play in his first Wimbledon final against the Serbian tennis player. The Spaniard has always been open about how he has admired the 20-time Grand Slam champion on the tennis court. Recently, after defeating the world number 3 ranked tennis player in the post-conference after the semi-finals, Alcaraz was asked about his admiration for the 23-time Grand Slam champion.

He stated, “Being the guy he is right now, everything he has been through is amazing. As I said before, he has no weakness. He’s really complete guy, really complete player. He’s amazing. He does nothing wrong on the court. Physically he’s a beast. Mentally he’s a beast.” 

Although he never got an opportunity to face Federer, getting a chance to stand at a competitive level with the Serb and Nadal is like having the best moments of his life.

Nevertheless, this will be the second meeting on the tennis court after the French Open semi-final just a month ago in which Djokovic ended up winning the match. However, this is not the first time the Spaniard has admired the 23-time Grand Slam champion. Back in 2021, when the world number one tennis player was praised by the Serbian, he revealed his initial reaction.

When Alcaraz was amazed to receive appreciation from Djokovic

It had been over two years since the Spaniard was ready to compete for Spain in the Davis Cup final for the first time. Seeing the Spaniard achieve fame at such a young age, the 36-year-old tennis pro delivered a message that left him dumbfounded. He stated that the things he has accomplished on the tennis field at the age of 18 are just astounding.
