Despite Injury Disappointment, Nick Kyrgios Exudes Confidence as He Gets Real About Tennis Future – ‘I’d Probably Just Hang It..’

The 7-time ATP winner, Nick Kyrgios, recently showed the world what it means to believe in oneself. Kyrgios, in an interview with Wide World of Sports, shared his candid thoughts and expressed what he truly yearns for. The Australian sensation is among the few players to present a great game. Despite not being on the list of the top rankers, he knows the art of pleasing the audience.

Kyrgios inadvertently revealed his plans before he hung up the racket for good. His belief about his potential and his shape is something he was pretty assured of. But why would he bring up the retirement thing?

Kyrgios has faced many setbacks that would have disheartened even the most resilient athletes. He has suffered multiple injuries, including troublesome knee and wrist issues. This led him to step back from the tennis arena since he underwent knee surgery. On the other hand, his attempts at a comeback have been far from spectacular. Kyrgios is known for his fiery on-court demeanor and remarkable skills. It is commendable that he remains undeterred by the challenges that life and sport have thrown at him.

In a recent interview with the WWOS, Kyrgios shared his thoughts and emotions. The Australian tennis sensation declared: “Then just my health, I just want to take my time and be healthy and come back and give the people the tennis that I was playing in 2022.” His determination to prioritize his health and regain his former prowess is evident. He said, “If I didn’t feel as if I had much left in the tank,” he remarked, “I’d probably just hang it up.”

However, when he faced none other than the formidable Novak Djokovic, Kyrgios lost with scores of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, and 7-6
