One such story is that of a huge Roger Federer fan, who could not miss out on watching his favorite player even with a highly deteriorated eyesight.

It is not just the gameplay that mesmerized Federer’s fans but his aura in itself on the court was so astounding that one could not help but gaze at him.

A heart-warming story of a Roger Federer fan

As Roger Federer announced his retirement, one fan shared a story of his father, who was a huge fan of the player till the end. The fan shared how his father had lost 90% of his eyesight. However, he would still do everything possible to watch his player; like sitting 10cm away from the TV.

He also mentioned that his father departed without having to watch Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal breaking his favorite player’s record of grand slam titles. He stated, “In his heart, you were always and will always be the number 1.” Furthermore he shared his gratitude to the player and said, “Thank you, Roger, for the emotions and pleasure you gave to him and to us.”
