Ben Shelton, under the guidance of his father and coach Bryan Shelton, represented the University of Florida where he helped his team Gators win the team championship in the year 2021. The same year, he also managed to bag a singles title which marked the beginning of an incredible career for the young American.

Post that, his only remarkable performance came at the US Open where he managed to reach the semi-finals of the tournament, joining the likes of Kevin Anderson in creating a great milestone. Kevin, who played at Illinois managed to reach the finals of the US Open back in the year 2017. Thus, the remarkable feat achieved by Shelton is appreciable.
