The Netflix docuseries Break Point showed up this year as a present to tennis enthusiasts. It showed the inside life of many tennis players, including Taylor Fritz and Nick Kyrgios, where they talked about their journey on the tennis court, representing the current scenario. But even though it was quite a delight on the sporting front, the show received mixed reactions from their fans.

Taylor Fritz’s take on the Netflix tennis docuseries
The 25-year-old American tennis player is having a moderate tennis season and, along with that, made his debut on the big screen with a Netflix tennis series. While he is one of the main tennis characters seen in both parts of the series, many other tennis players received support.

However, at the same time, fans also criticized them for the storyline. Months after the docuseries’ release, the world’s ninth-ranked tennis player, during a press conference before the Citi Open, has now shared how the series came out to be a good thing for him and, somewhere, even expanded his fan base.

He said, “There has been times where people have obviously not been tennis fans, and they don’t know me as, I guess, the tennis player. They know me as the person that’s on the show. So, I think that’s cool, because that’s all people that, you know, might pay attention to tennis or get into tennis now that previously weren’t.” [sic]

Fritz’s solid advice for the makers of BreakPoint
Back in June, after winning the opening round of the French Open, the 25-year-old tennis player shared his take on increasing engagement in the show in a press conference. He highlighted that it would be fair enough to have a lot more on-court arguments than the tennis world has evidently witnessed this year.
With this, they can spice things up and give a little bit of life to the docuseries, but on the other hand, he does not want to create a story that’s not actually there in reality.
