Boris Becker has had many happenings in his life. He has lived as a tennis great, as a finalist of many tournaments, and he has even won grand slams eight times. But Becker has also seen some unfortunate times. Being jailed, fined and deported, Becker has been through all the motions of life. He also fathered a child with a waitress he met momentarily. Becker’s mother had warned him about not doing anything stupid when he went out for drinks with his friends.

Boris Becker didn’t listen to his mother

Becker had retired from the sport in 1999. He had lost in the round of 16 of Wimbledon and had decided to hand up the racket. At the end of his career,  he had won 49 singles titles and 15 doubles titles. But Becker’s nightmares were just beginning.

After he retired, Becker went out for drinks with the tennis team and wanted to say goodbye to his team. “I said to her, “Mom, you don’t understand. I want to party with my boys one last time”“

As per the Bild, his wife was still pregnant at the time and his mother had warned him not to do anything stupid while Becker was out. “Boris, don’t do anything stupid!” said Elvira Becker to her son.

However, Becker ignored his mother’s warning and went out for drinks. He also met Angela Ermakova at the restaurant and things went downhill from there. Becker cheated on his wife with Ermakova, who was a waitress at the restaurant. He thought nothing would come from it. But Becker had gotten Angela pregnant.

He remembered getting a fax from her, telling Becker about the situation. “I got a fax from Angela. She wrote me: You may not remember me. Here’s my number.“

Becker met Ermakova and asked for a DNA test, if it meant that he was the child’s father, he would be involved in her life. “Let’s do a DNA test at the doctor’s and if it’s my baby, I’ll take responsibility for the child.” The result came back positive and Becker became a father to Ermakova.

Becker’s wife calls him a devil

Becker’s first marriage ended in a divorce and later married Sharlely Kerssenberg. After Becker was released from prison, he did not converse with his son properly. Becker had only talked to him for about 13 minutes and then he hung up the phone. This move angered his wife which led her to brandishing him a devil.

Becker has led quite a tumultuous life which does not seem to be letting up. Now, his future is murky and whatever comes will only be adding on to his difficulties.
