Despite Novak Djokovic’s French Open Heroics, Roger Federer Holds the Upper Hand for a Little While in a Long-Standing Grand Slam Record

One after the other, the world no. 3, Novak Djokovic is winning against all his opponents. He has now finally made his place in the semi-finals at the Roland Garros 2023. The Serbian tennis star defeated Karen Khachanov in a four-set match to proceed to the semifinals where he would now be playing against Carlos Alcaraz.
The fans are really excited to see the match between world no. 1 in the WTA rankings and Novak Djokovic. However, Novak’s win is not just limited to his winning at Roland Garros. But after reaching the quarter-finals, he also broke Rafael Nadal’s and Roger Federer’s records for most Roland Garros quarter-finals. However, even with this entry in the semifinals, there is one record that is yet to break Roger Federer.

Novak Djokovic is chasing the 23 Grand Slam title this year at the Roland Garros. His continuous wins in the first 4 rounds at the French Open 2023, quarter-finals, and now proceeding to the semi-finals against Carlos have left his fans impressed beyond expectations. His win in the quarter-finals has put him on a record-breaking spree when it comes to having the most quarter-finals at Roland Garros in his bucket.

But one record he still has not broken is of having more Grand Slam semi-final appearances. In that case, he is still one point behind Roger Federer who is at an astounding number of 46. Just recently, a Twitter page posted about this and wrote, “Roger Federer still holds the record for most Grand Slam semi-final appearances… for now.”
