Corretja further stated, “For me, the results are really going to be the least important thing.” The veteran’s conviction is unwavering as he went on to add, “He has the winning gene in his heart and he will have it until he retires.” However, Corretja soon made it clear that a ‘winning gene’ would not be enough, as he talked about other necessary requirements. 

Beyond the scoresheets, placing importance on Nadal’s physical well-being, Corretja said, “If he is physically well and healthy and has no problems, I am convinced that we will see a Rafa who will win big titles again.” Corretja’s words will surely act as a boost for Nadal, and he really needs it, considering the challenges he is about to face.
