Roger Federer has topped the list of the highest earning tennis players for the 17th year in a row. And if this is not enough, the player has earned way more than his arch-rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

A more astonishing fact is that the Swiss Maestro has not been active for more than a year, where his two arch-rivals have surpassed his tally of Grand Slam titles. Nonetheless, they are still struggling to defeat Federer in earnings.

Roger Federer earns considerably more than Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, despite being inactive
The Forbes list of highest paid tennis players features Roger Federer on the top. He has been paid $90 million dollars, before taxes and other deductions. Other than that, his rivals, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, are not even right behind him. Right behind him is the WTA tennis star Naomi Osaka, who is followed by Serena Williams.

Rafael Nadal stands at no.4 with $31.4 million and Novak Djokovic is next with $27.1 million in earnings. Nadal’s earnings are one-third of Federer’s earnings and Djokovic has earned even less than that. Federer has been out of the circuit for more than a year after his knee surgery.
