Interestingly, both Kyrgios and Djokovic became really good friends off the court, as they interacted before the final. On Instagram, they talked about the winner buying dinner. During the post-match interview, both Djokovic and Kyrgios joked about it. It seems like the Aussie player is not letting that go, as he asked Djokovic about the same once again.

Earlier, both Djokovic and Kyrgios acknowledged their relationship as a ‘bromance’, as they interacted with each other on social media before the final. Notably, Djokovic suggested getting dinner, but Kyrgios wanted to go to a nightclub. However, it seems like Kyrgios may have to wait until next year to have that dinner with Djokovic. As of now, the Serb will not be able to enter the US and he will most likely miss the US Open as well.

Also, this was his 7th Wimbledon title overall, just one behind the legendary Swiss, Roger Federer. Meanwhile, he is also closing in on Rafael Nadal‘s record of 22 Grand Slam titles. Sadly, he will not be able to play any more Grand Slam tournaments this year, due to the US Open ban on unvaccinated players. According to reports, he will most probably appear at the Australian Open in 2023.
