This year is special in entire tennis history because Novak Djokovic could break the deadlock between him and Rafael Nadal. With his 23 grand slam wins, he could get past the Spanish legend. Former German tennis star Boris Becker commented upon the evolution of Djokovic on the grass courts. Becker revealed that the Serbian star didn’t like the grass much initially, but Djokovic became better on the grass with time. He said, “He has already won here seven times, although lawn was not necessarily his favorite surface at the beginning of his career.”
“But he’s learned lawn tennis over the years and, as the number of titles suggests, Wimbledon is now his favorite tournament after Australia,” he said as reported by Suddeutsche Zeitung.
