Spanish tennis legend, Rafael Nadal, dropped his exclusive bits about modern-day tennis. Rafael Nadal has been off the court due to his complicated hip surgery. He will return to the court with the upcoming Brisbane International. Now following Nadal’s return, there is a huge excitement among the fans. Amid that, the maestro, however, sang a slightly off-tone about the sport.

A social media post recently highlighted the aspects of the sport Rafael Nadal does not like. His statement brings out a concerning fact about the present-day status of tennis.

Rafael Nadal revealed his take on modern tennis

Rafael Nadal expressed his displeasure about the way tennis stars are playing the sport. Nadal commented- “It has evolved into a tennis of hitting harder, of hitting without thinking. It does not require point preparation to find the winning shot. Most of them play similarly (…) I don’t like it.” Nadal’s comment expressed that he is not cool with tennis players not delving into their styles of attack and defense.

Rafael Nadal’s fans know well that both he and Federer surprised fans by taking tennis to another dimension. The king of clay court showed great tactics, whereas Federer’s game was termed aesthetically pleasing. Nadal’s point represents that it was their styles, which made them memorable to the fans.

Nadal set to rule the court again?

Rafael Nadal will play the upcoming Brisbane International after his surgery. The organizers have officially announced that the tennis virtuoso will grace the ATP 250 events. Not to forget, Nadal is a wildcard entry to the tournament. If he succeeds in the first round, he will face off against either Jason Kubler from Australia or Aslan Karatsev from Russia. While Nadal’s coach, Carlos Moya, is quite anxious about Nadal’s performance, fan Carlos Alcaraz keeps high hopes for him.
