He stated: “They have to thank Alcaraz because he took down Novak in his favorite tournament, on these days, most probably his favorite surface in five sets.” With a tinge of disbelief, he acknowledged the odds stacked against Alcaraz as he set the stage for a showdown.

Carlos Alcaraz’s triumph in the Wimbledon encounter was reflected in scores of 1-6, 7⁸-6⁶, 6-1, 3-6, and 6-4. This unfolded as evidence for the Spaniard’s tenacity.
