Roger Federer is one player whose love story with tennis would make anyone awestruck. But the Swiss player also had quite a great love story with his wife Mirka Federer. Roger and Mirka first met during the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000 and started dating soon after.

They married in 2009 and had four children ever since.
In an interview before his 2009 French Open final, Federer talked about how he felt when he found out that his wife was pregnant for the first time.

Roger Federer was astonished at the pregnancy announcement
In an interview prior to his 2009 French Open final, Federer gave an interview about many aspects of his life. He talked about Roland Garros, Rafael Nadal, and most importantly his wife’s pregnancy. When asked about how he felt when he heard Mirka was pregnant, Federer said he was quite taken aback. The astonished player hilariously asked Mirka to get another test done to be sure.
The former Swiss player’s wife had another test and then it was confirmed, the couple was expecting. The Mighty Federer did not feel as mighty as he was a little shaken for some time, but the former world number 1 pulled himself together and got rather comfortable with the situation.

“I was like, do another test the first time you, you go through something like that right, and you don’t know how sure those tests are, so I was like do another one, and she did another one, and it was the same thing, and then I was for one and a half days as pretty rattled you know but, but then I felt great and started to joke around like she shouldn’t carry thing and anything heavy anymore you know,” Federer said.

He added that he had a great time later and was quite relaxed with the situation. But continued that the first month was him pondering over what would become of his life.
“Those kind of things, so I had a great time with it after and ever since, it’s been actually very relaxed, you know, but it made me let’s say, the first month or the first few weeks was just like all right what’s going to happen to my life and ever since it’s been very good because she’s had a wonderful pregnancy she’s been very relaxed and really looking forward to it. “
