16-year-old Darwin Blanch is making headlines in the tennis world. The American prodigy, who is soon going to meet Rafael Nadal at the Madrid Open, is only making his second appearance at the ATP 1000 Masters. Although the current spotlight is on his journey, fans are excited to discover that he is not the only tennis enthusiast in his family. Blanch has three siblings who are also involved in the racquet sport.

Darwin Blanch’s prowess on the court is not only steered by his own determination but also by the unwavering support of his family. He first started playing tennis with his brothers. Darwin Blanch’s older brother, Ulises, is a prominent name in the tennis world. With two ATP Challenger titles to his name, Ulises has also managed to earn two ITF Futures titles.

The 26-year-old American, who turned professional in 2016, started playing tennis at the age of five. Although he began his training for tennis at 13, he also shares a keen interest in football. However, it does not end here, there is one more sibling following in the footsteps of Ulises Blanch.

Dali Blanch, currently ranked 622 in the ATP singles ranking, is also making his mark in the tennis world. The 21-year-old tennis player who worked with Carlos Alcaraz last year also talked about his idol, Roger Federer. He also mentioned how his goal is to improve his game and win more matches.

Last but not least, there is the only girl among the siblings, Darwin Blanch’s older sister. The 19-year-old Krystal Blanch has also embraced tennis from a young age. Winning her first ITF tournament at 14, she has a total of four ITF singles tournament victories till now. Not only that, she was also ranked 59 nationally in her junior ranking. Coming from a family of brothers and sisters who all share a collective love for tennis, Darwin Blanch is all set to extend the legacy forward. But he has his own set of challenges. Before his next match, he shared his “anxious” feelings about facing Rafael Nadal.

When Darwin Blanch first learned that he was going to face Rafael Nadal in his first match at the Madrid Open, he couldn’t believe it. Blanch, who has lived in four different countries, will face him in his home country. In an interview, the youngster acknowledged the fact that he expects a lot of people in the crowd to be against him. But he is hopeful that he will enjoy his time on court, even if it’s against the King of Clay on his preferred surface.

However, Blanch admitted his nervousness regarding the match. “I’m really excited, obviously a little bit nervous. But I’m just really happy to be playing against Rafa. I’m ready to go out and just enjoy every moment,” he said in an interview with ATP. With the support of his family, fans are now waiting to see this young tennis player rise to stardom as he slowly makes his mark on the court.
