The relationship between a player and the coach often encompasses boundaries beyond just the strictures of the tennis courts. While the news reports could only cover the professional life of Jannik Sinner, his coach recently revealed how the disposition of the young Italian is in real life.

Darren Cahill unfurls Jannik Sinner’s personal life attributes

Fans have always wondered how Jannik Sinner carries himself in real life. Presenting a surprise to them, the young Italian’s coach Darren Cahill recently revealed details about his real character. According to his coach, Darren Cahill, there’s a side to Sinner that makes him similar to every other young guy who likes to have fun and banter.

“He’s like everyone else! He loves speeding in cars, maybe a bit too much,” said Cahill. As the coach revealed Sinner’s love for vehicles and speed, many young fans are sure to find a point of reliability in it. However, the fun character is not just limited to hitting the roads with speed. “He’s joking, and he doesn’t like losing, even in burraco,” Cahill added, highlighting Sinner’s intact competitive levels even in card games.

Along with that, Cahill also recalled a moment that explains the ‘real’ Jannik. “I have never seen him as joyful as in Davis. Remember when he laughed with Sonego after taking a ball to the head in doubles? Now, that’s the real Jannik.” This anecdote gave fans a hint of the lighter side of the tennis star who has been making waves recently.

Cahill’s faith in Sinner’s potential

Jannik Sinner’s coach, Darren Cahill, besides admitting the fun-loving side of the 22-year-old tennis star, also believes in his worth. In a recent interview, Cahill confidently mentioned, “I firmly believe that Jannik will win a Slam, this is the goal. I don’t know when, but he is capable of it.” As the renowned coach set prime targets for the young Italian, it is sure that he sees great potential in Sinner.

Besides the Grand Slam ambition, there’s a lot more on the team’s agenda. “The Olympic Games are [also] a top priority for Jannik, who loves playing for Italy. The Olympics are already on our agenda,” Cahill revealed. As the legendary coach revealed his firm belief about Sinner’s potential and used the same to set high targets for him, fans now expect a lot more from him in the upcoming season.
