Also, talking about the GOAT debate, the Spaniard has a two-Grand Slam title advantage over his nearest rivals, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. Although rivalry and comparison are a part of any sport, it does not bother Nadal.

In a recent interview, the 22-time Grand Slam champion gave his opinion on the GOAT debate.

Records don’t bother Rafael Nadal

When the interviewer asked Nadal about his race with the Serb Novak Djokovic and Swiss maestro Roger Federer, the 36-year-old replied that he doesn’t care about being the greatest of all time.

He said, “We’ll see what happens. Like I’ve always said: I don’t care when we were tied and I don’t care now when I’m two up. I just want to keep competing.”

Further giving his opinion about the chances of his fellow rivals surpassing him, Nadal said,

“It is evident that Novak is the one who is in a clearer position to be able to overcome that because he has no physical problems, and he is at a spectacular level. Federer has been away for a long time and you always have to expect something special from him, but we all know how difficult it is to come back, even at 40 years old.”
