“Don’t Have Her Number”: Andy Murray Opens up on Iga Swiatek’s Comments

Andy Murray looks like he’s finally landed into some fine form. The former World No.1 had an amazing start at Indian Wells as he defeated Adrain Mannarino of France in straight sets. He has imposingly advanced to the second round of the competition, where he’ll face the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.

On the other hand, Iga Swiatek has also cruised into the next round with an easy victory over Petra Martic in the first round. After the match, in an interview, she was asked about her dream hitting partner. She said, she’d love to play with Andy Murray. To this, Murray gladly replied that he’d be hitting the tennis court at 3 pm the next day if she wanted to join.

Andy Murray welcomes Iga Swiatek

Both Murray and Swiatek have advanced in the second round with a straight-set win. In an interview with Tennis Channel, Iga Swiatek revealed her dream tennis partner and said, “That’s a tough one. I’d say I’d love to play with Andy Murray. So, we actually had a little chat on Twitter. So, maybe it’s gonna be possible right now to finally play. He seems like such a nice guy. Good sense of humor.”

Following these statements, Andy Murray took his Twitter to reply to the former French Open champion. Murray cheerfully tweeted, I don’t have her number unfortunately but I’m hitting at 3pm tomorrow if she wants to join? Lets do it,” and tagged Iga Swiatek.”

Murray into the second round of Indian Wells

Andy Murray has finally brought his confidence back in the ATP Tour. In the opening round of Indian Wells, Murray succeeded over the Frenchman, Adrian Mannarino. He registered a straight-set victory 6-3, 6-2.

However, Murray’s second-round opponent is a challenging one. He’ll face the in-form 18-years old, Carlos Alcaraz of Spain. Alcaraz portrayed a great set of skills at US Open 2021 and looks promising as he entered the Indian Wells.
