In the third round of the US Open, the Russian tennis star was given the task of prevailing in his thrilling encounter with the Argentine, Sebastian Baez. However, in addition to his recent victory against Baez, the current World No. 3 also caught the attention of the tennis realm due to a contentious episode in New York.

During his third-round matchup, the 27-year-old player constantly became a target of jeers from a disruptive spectator in the stadium. In order to fire back at the annoying fan in a cheeky manner, Medvedev later came up with a quintessentially salty response.

However, Daniil Medvedev was struggling with his second serves during his match against the Argentine. Due to the same reason, a disruptive spectator was constantly shouting and heckling in between his first and second serves.

Noting the same, the 27-year-old later came up with a salty message in his on-court interview to hit back at the fan following his massive victory. Medvedev said, “Thanks to all the guys who don’t shout between 1st & 2nd serve. There’s 1 guy, I don’t know if he has a wife.” While pointing at the “pumped up” spectator, Medvedev hilariously added, “I don’t know how she’ll sleep bc he’s so pumped up he’s gonna end the night saying ‘vamo!’ nonstop. I feel sorry for him.”
