20-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic is undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time. Apart from that, he is also a great family person. Speaking of his family, his father, Srdjan Djokovic, was also a family man, as he always showed love and support for his son during his bad or good times.

And sometimes, like every parent, he did some extreme things, particularly at the 2010 US Open, which became a massive talking point for the media and netizens.

Srdan Djokovic wore a t-shirt with his son Novak’s face on it

In the 2010 US Open, Djokovic reached the final of the Grand Slam tournament, where he played Rafael Nadal. Even though the Serb reached the final, his father, Srdjan, grabbed all the headlines. It’s because he was wearing a t-shirt with his son’s picture on it throughout the whole tournament.

Speaking about it, Novak said, “He’s a proud father, what can I say? I don’t know exactly where he got his fancy shirt — it was somewhere in Belgrade — but he’s my father and, if he wants to wear this shirt, he can wear this shirt. I would never wear the shirt. I don’t like myself that much.”

Notably, in the final also his father wore that T-shirt. Unfortunately, it did not bring good luck to his son as he lost against Nadal.

It is worth mentioning that Novak’s father was pretty vocal during his departure from Australia earlier this summer, as he supported his son like a true family man.
