The last two decades have seen the complete dominance of the Big Three in tennis. Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are tied with 20 grand slams each. While Rafael Nadal just won his 21st at the Australian Open 2022.

While Roger Federer is still recovering from his surgeries, Novak Djokovic is preparing for the next tournament which does not have a vaccine mandate to make his 2022 debut. Rafael Nadal, on the other hand, has been on an unbeaten streak this year, starting from the Melbourne Summer Set. He recently won his 91st career singles title at Acapulco and is currently preparing for the Indian Wells.

What is Nick Kyrgios’s view on this?

Everyone has had their opinions on who’s the greatest of all times. Given 0pthe extent of their records and achievements. Australian star Nick Kyrgios was also asked to comment on it. According to him Federer’s era of brilliance is over, and former world no. 1 is nearing the end of his tennis career.

While it might be difficult for the fans of the Swiss Maestro to accept it, seeing that people are used to seeing him on the courts, being his elegant but lethal self for so long now.

“No, for Roger, the fight for the best of all time is over, as far as I’m concerned. He’s done. I thought about it, he has a negative score with both Nadal and Djokovic. I don’t think he would be able to get them even on the grass now,” Kyrgios feels.

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are still active in the tour and still winning titles, Federer has already started to lag behind. With a recent announcement by the Swiss all but effectively ruling out this year’s grass season, Kyrgios finds it hard to believe that he’ll be able to come back and surpass the other two’s numbers.
