And once he did, there was no looking back for him. Recently, a video resurfaced on the internet where 4-year-old Novak Djokovic can be seen holding a tennis racket bigger than himself and shoving some great shots with a ball.

Novak Djokovic got his first tennis racket at a very young age

The tennis community on Reddit posted a video of Novak Djokovic today, which shows how he was just 4 years old when he got the chance to grab his first tennis racket. And, of course, Djokovic loved it more than anything else. In the video, as soon as the little Djokovic got the racket, he went outside to start playing tennis.

Novak Djokovic even had tennis balls back then that he put in his pocket, trying to imitate a real tennis player that he must have seen on TV. And then the 4-year-old went ahead and tapped the ball on the floor and hit it with all his power. He even exclaimed at the end, “Leave me alone. I am playing tennis.”

It is amazing to see how, being so young, his focus on the sport is remarkable. Djokovic probably grew up watching other tennis players who inspired him to play so well. Even today, the 36-year-old continues to get inspired by the young players around him. Recently, he shared how young ATP players on tour awakened a beast in him.

Djokovic shares how young ATP players make him want to better himself every day

After 3 out of the 4 grand slams in 2023, Novak Djokovic has shown that he is in no mood to settle despite the new players that are coming up to challenge. However, he did talk about how the new players in the sport make him want to get better. Djokovic said that these young guys have a hunger in them to play better. This gives him additional motivation.
