The tournament that pits Team World and Team Europe against each other will be a little more special this year as a collaboration between the Duchess of Cambridge and Federer for a fundraiser has been announced.
Roger Federer and Middleton’s plans
Kate Middleton has joined hands with the 20-time Grand Slam champion to aid two organizations on the behalf of Laver Cup. The organizations are Action for Children and the LTA(Lawn Tennis Association). All proceeds raised from the tickets to the practice day will go under the name of these charities.
The Laver Cup will hold its practice day on 22nd September. And the ticket counters will open for the same on 22nd August. Further, ahead of the practice match, the collaboration will host a day of tennis in East London for children who are under Action for Children’s umbrella. The young locals from LTA SERVES programme will also be included.

In the case of Action for children, the donation received from the fundraise will help vulnerable kids, young people and their families across the nation. While LTA Tennis foundation’s share will strengthen the SERVES programme.
Sharing the amazing collaboration on Twitter, Swiss Maestro Roger Federer tweeted in excitement and thanked the Duchess for stepping up to fulfill this initiative.
