During the pre-tournament interview, the American tennis star was asked about what he enjoys most at the US Open. Replying to this question, he said that American tennis is in a great spot. Many young players from the country are making it to the big stage in tennis. But something about the energy and the crowds actually cliched the deal for Tiafoe.

Further, he added, “You asked about why the US Open is the best slam. I mean, ’cause you can’t beat the rowdy fans here. Everyone past 3 p.m. is drunk as hell, just having an unbelievable time. The ref has no shot at controlling that atmosphere. Just let it go and let it do what it does. Yeah, it’s arguably one of the best sporting events in the world.”

Tiafoe and Alcaraz raise money for charity
During a US Open exhibition match, Tiafoe and Alcaraz enthralled the crowd with some exciting action. Along with them, the likes of celebrities such as Jimmy Butler and Sebastian Yatra were also involved. Together, they managed to raise almost $320,000 for Ukrainian humanitarian aid. Following the charity event, the four captured a selfie with the fans at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
