Sascha Bajin is in the news these days. The German coach recently joined the coaching team of former World No.1 Karolina Pliskova. After partying ways with Dayana Yastremska, the coach will look forward to beginning afresh with the Czech tennis player. In a recent interview, Bajin talked about his compatriot and US Open 2020 runner-up Alexander Zverev.

The coach discussed the future of the German player and highlighted his development in recent years. He also emphasized that the player had evolved as a player over the years.
“Its evolution is incredible. I’m very happy for him too. I’m a fan of his and I like the way he plays. I hope the US Open gave him the confidence he needed,” said a cheerful Bajin.

Bajin revealed that he used to love watching him play and was one of his fans. He believed that the US Open 2020 gave him the push and he would only go ahead from here.

Although Bajin praised Zverev, he also mentioned that there was still scope for improvement for the World No.7. He added that the 23-year-old player needs to be more consistent on the hard courts.

“He’s very athletic for his size and I think he can do a lot more – especially on hard courts that are getting faster again. That should even suit his game,” concluded the 36-year-old coach.
Bajin also believed that Zverev used to show a lot of athleticism on the court. According to him, it certainly gave him a slight advantage against his opponents.
