He stated, “If he sees that every time he wants to try to play a Grand Slam, he can’t play two matches in a row, what’s the point for this guy to play? He’s not going to play to win a 500 or to win an Indian World. That’s for him. For many players, that would be a dream. But for him now, he’s playing only for the Grand Slam, maybe the Olympics. Maybe the Olympics—that could be the thing.”

Not only that, while talking about whether his potential retirement is coming this year or not, he also made sure to highlight that even though he is practicing hard to remain in the tennis arena, retirement is something that will happen today or tomorrow.

Further, he also highlighted how this former world number one is not playing for any other tournament other than the Grand Slam, but his ultimate goal might be the Olympics before retirement. However, this is not the first time someone has talked about his time; nearly a month ago, his uncle also added mystery to his nephew’s retirement with the hot take on his form.
